Bingo Software

You may notice that when you play bingo at various bingo sites, that many of the layouts, games and bingo rooms look similar, and this is because all bingo sites belong to a software design and hosting company. You might recognise some of the bigger ones; 888, Jumpman, Playtech and Virtue Fusion are all huge networks, and each of them owns many sites. Sites within the same network may look similar because of this shared software.

All of these bingo software companies must firstly be approved by the Gambling Commission. You may notice that many of these sites are based abroad, and this is usually for low taxing reasons. Many sites that operate in the UK are part of the Alderney Gambling Control Commission – this simply means that their company is registered as operating in the Channel Island of Alderney and many UK companies choose to locate their bingo companies there because the tax is incredibly low, which means fantastic profits for their organisation.

So, does shared software benefit your average bingo player? If you find a site you like, it’s a fairly safe bet that you’ll like some of the others on the same software as they’re exactly the same, just with a different coat of paint. If you really don’t like the way a site is set up, you can see which other sites use the same software and avoid them.

Keep an eye out for sites using the same software, and you’ll be sure to see them from time to time!
