2009 BingoPort.co.uk Players' Choice Awards
The best operators from the UK Online Bingo Industry came together on Friday night to see Foxy Bingo take out the award for Best Overall Online Bingo Operator at the inaugural BingoPort.co.uk Players Choice Awards for 2009. Foxy Bingo’s success is considered a significant achievement with a total of 10 nominees vying for the top award in what is now an extremely competitive industry.
Held at the Novotel London West in Hammersmith, the inaugural awards ceremony provided a stylish but relaxed affair to unveil the winners of the nine BingoPort Awards. Attended by over 100 of the UK Online Bingo Industry’s finest, the awards night highlighted the growth and strength of the online bingo industry in the UK.
Foxy Bingo was certainly the big winner of the night, not only winning the major award of the night but also taking out the awards for Best Online Bingo Commercial and Best Online Bingo Promotion with their “Foxy Bingo Cruise”.
Also sharing in the spoils of the evening were Tombola and Gala Bingo each receiving two awards, and Ladbrokes and Wink Bingo each receiving a BingoPort.co.uk Players Choice Award.
For BingoPort.co.uk Co-Founder and host of awards night, Roo Wright, the BingoPort.co.uk Players Choice Awards 2009 was a huge success. “The UK Online Bingo Industry is at a size and stage now where a dedicated framework of recognising achievement is necessary. We feel these awards provide that framework with a robust methodology of calculating, identifying, and recognising those operators in the industry who are reaching the higher levels of achievement”.

The BingoPort.co.uk Players Choice Awards 2009 has been recognised for its transparent and accurate voting methodology. BingoPort.co.uk is considered to have the largest independent online bingo membership base in the UK. Every BingoPort.co.uk member is invited to participate in the awards, and with only one opportunity to vote per member allowed, the views and trends of the UK online bingo community is accurately reflected in the results of the awards.

Additionally, the three awards for Most Online Bingo Prizes Won, Fastest Growing Online Bingo Website, and Most Popular Online Bingo Website were determined by data collected during the previous 12 months in partnership with the online bingo statistical tracking tool BingoTrends.com. Running for a number of years, BingoTrends.com tracks online bingo site data including player numbers, prizes, pot sizes, and jackpot data.
